The Mont Rouge Olive Estate is located in the Groot River basin which flows through the farm en route to Gouritzmond. This location has proven to have the perfect soil and climate for Mediteranean olive cultivation. The orchards at Mont Rouge Olive Estate consist of Mission, Frantoio, Kalamata, Lecino, Coratina and Nocellara cultivars. The olives are handpicked at the perfect ripeness and the oil extracted cold to achieve extra virgin quality. These table olives undergo a process of slow fermentation of 12-14 months.
